Costa Rica packs quite a punch as a destination. As one of the smallest countries on the continent, it nevertheless offers two oceans, an incredible number of completely different eco-climates and zones, volcanoes, lakes, miles of relatively empty beaches, all within easy reach of your point of arrival. The country has also developed an exciting range of soft adventure possibilities, such as white water rafting, canopying, canoeing, that can add a varied dose of adrenaline to a tour.
Just meandering around in a rental car, or even better with a flexible hotel plan where you book as you go along and pay with vouchers, is a brilliant way to see this country at your own pace. Or take a guide, either at each location as even for the whole trip. Costa Rica's extensive network of lodges, resorts and boutique hotels lets you select your own preferred style of holiday, as well as meeting most interests from soft adventure, naure, birding, diving, walking, through to trekking and general sight seeing.

Mauricio Tuvimos una vacacion fantistico!!! Tortuguero was the best! The people at Pachira lodge were wonderful, especially Manfred. They were knowledgeable, showed us so many beautiful plants, insects and animals. Manfred was especially good with my youngest, Jessica. The tours all went smoothly and we loved it.
The canopy tour was so much fun. The trip along the canal was awesome and we were treated to the spider monkey show, jumping from tree to tree......... Kathy C, USA
