A small wooden house was the inspiration for the construction of an annex with the same value to preserve the tropical Victorian architecture tht it has. Currently, the hotel consists of 32 rooms and three suites and the furniture in its majority comes from USA and Canada.
Guests of Hotel Grano de Oro enjoy the charm and character of a stately mansion built at the turn of the century, with all the comforts, amenities and service expected in a fine hotel.
The gardens and common areas that weave throughout the hotel overflow with an abundance of tropical plants and flowers and the sound of gently cascading fountains can be heard throughout. A secluded rooftop garden terrace with lawn beds and Jacuzzi hot tubs is also available for our guests enjoyment
Hotel Grano de Oro has 32 unique and tastefully decorated rooms in three categories (standard, deluxe and superior), each room is unique, no two alike. It also has a two room Family Suite, an elegant Garden Suite with a Jacuzzi bath tub and private garden, and the romantic Vista de Oro Suite with it''s panoramic view of San Jose and the surrounding mountains, all to be enjoyed from a private in-suite Jacuzzi hot tub.
Each room and suite boasts an exquisite bath, original artwork, beautifully crafted iron furniture, comfortable rattan armchairs, luxurious bedding and quality beds for restful nights. For the comfort of the guests all rooms are designated as nonsmoking, with smoking being permitted in the restaurant , gardens and other common areas
