In
1990, Eco Lodge Hotel was the first Lodge built in Latin America
using economical endowment from the World Bank. It was created as
a pilot model for Latin America and its mission was to preserve
the environment and develop a true ecotourism program. To do this,
among other things, Eco Lodge decided to keep 218 hectares of primary
forest as a private reserve, becoming a pioneer in conservation
and adventure sports in harmony with nature.

Back Riding:
Ride through the beautiful, green landscapes of the Guanacaste rain
forest or along the Coyote Beach.
Sea
Kayak:
Dare to go on a kayaking adventure along the most beautiful coasts
of Costa Rica.
Fish:
Sport’s Fishing is good all year round, but December to March
is the best months to find plenty of Sailfish. From June to December,
Marlin and Yellow Fin Tunas will be the perfect catch.
Off shore fishing in Costa Rica offers different varieties of fish,
but among the most frequent, you will find Marlin (black, blue and
striped), sailfish, yellow fin tuna and Dorado (mahi-mahi) Wahoo.
Surf:
For those who enjoy the thrills of surfing, Playa Caletas is considered
among the best beaches in Costa Rica for this kind of sport. But,
if you wish to visit the surrounding beaches that are also good
surfing spots, you might consider:
Playa Coyote, Mal País, Manzanillo, Nosara, Playa Negra,
Playa Grande, Playa Naranjo, Playa Potrero.
