Located in the Tilarán Mountain Range at 4,600 ft. above sea level on the edge of the world's best-known mid-elevation cloud forest, the lodge is
located high on the ridge above the coastal plain of the Pacific,
near the town of Santa Elena, the adjacent farming colony and cloud
forest reserve of Monteverde.

Originally just 4.000 acres, the Monteverde reserve now
covers and protects an area of approximately 25.000 acres, comprising
six different life zones. With many habitats in such a small area
along with extensive trail improvements, visitors are allowed to
enjoy a rich diversity of flora and fauna with relatively easy walking.
All
rooms are spacious with solar heated hot water in private baths.
