the charm of French-Colonial architecture and Victorian homes still
found in San Jose. Villa Caletas, which combines the truly unique
concept of both mountain and seaside resort, is surrounded by lush
gardens overflowing with exotic plants and flowers.
The two restaurants and bars offer exquisite cuisine, your favorite
drinks and incredible views. The sunsets are breathtaking!

blue, which blends perfectly with the distant lull on the horizon
while you listen to the soothing sound of a waterfall.

Swimming pool
The vast, deep-blue pool with an "infinity" edge creates
the illusion of being one with the ocean. Adding to its splendor
are a miniature waterfall, an island of tropical plants, and natural-rock
facing. Serenity reigns at this magnificent pool area, in keeping
with the atmosphere all around the hotel.
Caletas
Amphitheatre
Dramatic describes the Greek amphitheater at Villas Caletas! Eight
Ionic columns grace the 150-capacity structure overlooking the Pacific
Ocean and a primary forest. Concerts and arts performances take
place here during the year.

the 20-person SALA MARTIGUEZ for meetings. Available for larger
groups of up to 200 people is SALA ANFITEATRO offering the same
impeccable service. For executive meetings, a full range of audio-visual
equipment is accessible.
Restaurant
& Bar
Villa Caletas has two restaurants with bars: the open-air EL
MIRADOR, and the enclosed EL ANFITEATRO with an open section. In
both restaurants, our chefs create tantalizing, international dishes.
Views of the coastline complete the dining experience, changing
to memorable sunsets with the evening meal.
Cool
and spicy Gazpacho might be your choice of appetizers. Among the
entrées, breast of chicken sliced and curled into a horseshoe shape
and bathed in rosemary & honey sauce. Whether fish or fowl,
meat or pasta, the selections combine delicious flavor with artful
presentation. Desserts crown the occasion, with extraordinary pies
and cakes in a variety of fruit sauces. Let the chef surprise and
delight you!
Amphitheater
and Bar
Relax over your favorite drink and enjoy the most incredible 360-degree
vista of the Nicoya Gulf. Seating 150 people, the Greek-style structure
