Marine National Park, Caño Island Biological reserve, Corcovado
National Park and the most extensive mangrove ecosystem of Central

Hotel
Villas Gaia consists of 14 colorful bungalows (casitas) separately
nestled in a lush tropical garden, designed to harmonize with their
forest surroundings and accented with the vibrant colors of the
tropics and each bright, spacious casita has orthopedic beds (one
double - queen seize - bed and one single bed or three single beds),
reading lamps, night tables, ceiling fans, built-in closet, bathroom
with -solar hot water- shower, and a private terrace (8 by 20 ft)
with comfortable “perezosos”(lazy chairs), a table with
bench and a great jungle view. Each casita can accommodate up to
4 persons.
Several casitas have air conditioning.
One
of the casitas has two bedrooms (both with air conditioning), bathroom
with - solar hot water - shower, a screened in living room (with
sofas, table & chairs, cable TV and refrigerator. One bedroom
is equipped with a queen seize orthopedic bed, the other bedroom
with three single orthopedic beds (or a double and a single bed).
The two sofas in the living room can be used as extra single (orthopedic)
beds. La Casa can accommodate up to 7 persons.
Features
include a hilltop swimming pool with sundeck and poolside rancho
bar where you can witness spectacular ocean sunsets.
There
is a private jungle trail going directly from the sundeck to the
beach of Tortuga, just a 10 minutes walk.
The
hotel is situated where the mountains come down to the sea in the
region called Fila Costeña. This biologically diverse region
is surrounded by some of Costa Rica's most famous natural attractions:

The vast wilderness of Corcovado National Park,
• The protected waters of Ballena Marine Park,
• Caño Island, and
• The Rio Sierpe – Terraba extensive mangrove ecosystem.
The
region is a bird watcher's paradise (450 counted species!!!) and
has one of Central America's last stands of magnificent coastal
rain forest.
Miles
of deserted beaches to the north offer abundant opportunities for
swimming, surfing, kayaking and exploring.

village of Ojochal is 1 km South of Hotel Villas Gaia and is populated

The new coastal road between Dominical and Cortes makes Hotel Villas
Gaia an accessible and convenient home base for the exciting discovery
of southern Costa Rica.

entrance to Hotel Villas Gaia is only 1.5 kilometers south of Ventanas
Beach and 0.5 kilometer north of the entrance to Tortuga Beach (direct
access from the sundeck of the hotel!)
Restaurant
The full service restaurant features an eclectic decor under a high
vaulted roof.
Privacy and tropical ambiance are created by colorful landscaping.
The
gourmet restaurant specializes in healthy European cuisine with
a Latin American flavor and offers a moderately prized menu of quality
vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for a reasonable price. Also
a picnic lunch menu is offered.
