Hermosa Beach San Juan del Sur Rincon de La Vieja Arenal Tamarindo beach (10 days / 9 nts)  From $1873

Costa Rica, a land of forests, lakes, volcanoes, and rivers with hot springs.  You will visit the regions of Hermosa beach, Rincon de la Vieja, Arenal and Tamarindo beach.  In addition, we will take you to Morgan’s Rock, located just acrros the frontier in Nicaragua.

Day 1: Arrive in Liberia
Our representative will meet you at the international airport and will take you to your hotel in Hermosa beach. The northern pacific is an area of tropical dry forests and beautiful landscapes.  The climate is hot and dry during the summer season (from December to April) and hot and humid during the rest of the year.  You can take advantage of your driver and ask him any question you may have about your services.  Overnight at Villa del Sueño hotel.

Day 2: Hermosa beach
After breakfast, enjoy your free day at the beach, use the hotel facilities or take optional activities, such as horseback riding, canopy tour, river boat ride or river floating tour.  Overnight at Villa del Sueño hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 3: Hermosa Beach - San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
After breakfast, we will meet you at the hotel to take you to the Costa Rica/Nicaragua border, where our representative will take you to San Juan del Sur.  San Juan del Sur lies just North of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. These reforested land, together with its nature reserve and estuary, host a wide variety of animals such as howler monkeys, sloths, white tipped deer and many native birds.

Free afternoon to explore the area on your own or to take an optional walking tour through the trails of the property.  Margan’s Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge is part of 1,000-hectare reforestation project and 800-hectare private nature reserve that represent among the last large natural sanctuaries along the Pacific Coast of Central America and are critical the conservation as habitat for the animal population in the region.  Overnight at Morgan’s Rock ecolodge.  Breakfast, dinner.

Day 4: San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
After breakfast, today on a shared tour you will visit the Masaya National Park featuring the active Masaya Volcano. You can walk right up to the volcano and take a look down into the crater. Continue on to the city of Masaya and its famous handicraft market featuring wooden products, hammocks, leather products, ceramics and paintings.  Finish your day with a visit to the colonial city of Granada , founded as the first city in continental America in 1524 featuring classical and neo-classical buildings, antique churches and horse-drawn carriages! Overnight at Morgan’s Rock ecolodge.  Breakfast, lunch, dinner. 

Day 5: San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
After breakfast, enjoy your free day to relax, to use the lodge facilities or to take optional activities: walking tour through the dry forest, hacienda and butterfly farm, breakfast at the hacienda, trapiche rum tour, horseback riding, riverbed nature walk or biking. Overnight at Morgan’s Rock ecolodge.  Breakfast, lunch, dinner. 

Day 6: San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua - Rincon de la Vieja
After breakfast, we will take you to the Nicaragua/Costa Rica border where our representative will meet you and take you to Rincon de la Vieja, an area of tropical dry forests and placed at the base of Rincon de la Vieja volcano. The climate is hot and dry during the summer season (from December to April) and hot and humid during the rest of the year.  The average annual temperature is 27,5ºC.  Free afternoon to rest at the property or to take optional activities:  hot springs, mud baths, horseback rides or walking tours.  Overnight at Borinquen hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 7: Rincon de la Vieja
After breakfast, take advantage of your free day taking an optional activity:  the fumaroles trail along the riverbed, hiking to the waterfalls, horseback riding, ATV tours, forest expedition or canopy tour. Overnight at Borinquen hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 8: Rincon de la Vieja - Arenal
After breakfast, our representative will meet you at the hotel to take you to Arenal.  This area offers a landscape composed by forests, lagoons, fields of crops, rivers with hot springs, and the most active volcano of Costa Rica:  Arenal.  Definitely a land of contrasts full of varied activity options. 
Free afternoon to take optional excursions: waterfall trail hike, old lava trail hike, ATV adventure, canopy tour, hot springs or horseback ride.  Overnight at Arenal Paraiso hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 9: Arenal - Tamarindo beach
After breakfast, we will take you to Tamarindo beach by shuttle bus. The Northern Pacific region is a land of beautiful landscapes made up of bays, gulfs, hills splattered with forests and cliffs, panoramic routes, volcanoes, wild rivers, and beaches.
Free afternoon to relax at the beach or to take optional tours:  horseback riding, ATV tours or kayaking.  Overnight at Jardin del Eden hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 10: Fly out from Liberia
Today we will meet you at the hotel to take you to Daniel Oduber International Airport, where you will take your flight back home.
