Day 1: Arrival to San José - Sarapiqui
Welcome to Costa Rica! Our representative will meet you at the international airport and will take you to your hotel in Sarapiqui. On the way there, you may ask your driver any questions you may have regarding your arrangements, and he will be more than happy to answer your quiries. Sarapiqui is located near to the caribbean side of Costa Rica, a region where you can find tropical rain forests with temperatures between 26°C and 28°C; this is the right place to combine adventure with nature. Overnight at Selva Verde lodge.
Day 2: Sarapiqui - Manzanillo
After breakfast, take your free morning to explore the area on your own or feel free to arrange with us an optional half day adventure tour in advance: nature hiking tours, Sarapiqui river boat ride, Sarapiqui white water rafting, mountain biking and horseback riding.
At noon, we will take you by private ground transfer to Manzanillo in the caribbean side of Costa Rica. The fascinating afro-caribbean culture, mainly a combination of Jamaican, Italian and Chinese immigrants predominates in this region and fills the atmosphere with very particular fragrances and rhythms. Manzanillo is a place that mixes adventure, culture and beach. Overnight at Almonds and Corals tent camp. Breakfast, dinner.
Day 3: Manzanillo
After breakfast, a local bilingual tour guide will take you on a kayaking and snorkeling tour to Punta Uva or to Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, this activity will be a good opportunity to observe the coral reefs, little holes full of fish, cracks and caverns.
In the afternoon, a local bilingual tour guide will take you on an exciting canopy ride. This is an opportunity to see the jungle from another perspective, while you travel between the platforms flying down suspended cables. Surely you will have a chance to watch some wildlife from above and your tour guide can tell you about the different species that might be observed. Overnight at Almonds and Corals tent camp. Breakfast, dinner.
Day 4: Manzanillo - San Jose
After breakfast, take your free morning to walk around the area or make arrangements in advance for an optional adventure activity: boat ride in search of dolphins, hiking tour at Cahuita and Puerto Vargas National Park, and biking tour through a village.
Noon private ground transfer from the lodge to San Jose: Costa Rica’s capital city and the place where two thirds of the country’s population resides. The main part of the manufacturing and financial industry, major buildings, universities, medical centers and commercial complexes are located in this area. Overnight at Britannia hotel. Breakfast.
Day 5: San Jose - Golfo Dulce
After breakfast, we will pick you up at the hotel to take you to the local airport, where you will take a local flight from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez. Upon arrival to Puerto Jimenez, we will take you to Golfo Dulce by ground transfer and boat. This area is one of the most biologically diverse sites in the country, a land where the scenery is mainly composed by tropical rain forests mixed with the calm waters of the Pacific Ocean.
Free afternoon to explore the area on your own or to take optional adventure activities: kayaking, night walk in the jungle and snorkeling. Overnight at Villa Corcovado lodge. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 6: Golfo Dulce
After breakfast, explore the area on your own or make arrangements in advance with us, for an optional adventure activity: kayaking, night walk in the jungle and snorkeling. Overnight at Villa Corcovado lodge. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 7: Golfo Dulce - San Jose - Manuel Antonio
After breakfast, we will take you to Puerto Jimenez by boat and ground transfer. Take a local flight to San Jose and connect from there to Manuel Antonio by local flight too. Upon arrival to Manuel Antonio, we will meet you again to take you to your hotel, which is located in an area of hot and humid climate, warm waters all year long, and hills covered with green forests.
Some of the features which have made Manuel Antonio one of the places most preferred by visitors are its white sand beaches inside the national park, cliffs, rivers, and rain forests. Free afternoon to enjoy the hotel facilities, to explore the area on your own or to take an optional adventure tour: horseback riding, canopy tour or ATV adventures, white water rafting (Savegre or Naranjo rivers), and Manuel Antonio coastal paddle. Overnight at Costa Verde hotel. Breakfast.
Day 8: Manuel Antonio
After breakfast, your active spirit will enjoy the guided tour to Damas island estuary, a kayaking adventure on the tranquil waters of the Pacific Ocean. Excellent for those who like to combine sports and nature, as opportunities to observe animal life are high. Overnight at Costa Verde hotel. Breakfast.
Day 9: Manuel Antonio - San Jose
After breakfast, take your free morning to do an optional adventure activity: Manuel Antonio National Park hiking tour, horseback riding, canopy tour or ATV adventure, white water rafting (Savegre or Naranjo rivers), and Manuel Antonio coastal paddle. Noon ground transfer back to San Jose. Overnight at San Gildar hotel. Breakfast.
Day 10: Fly out from San Jose
Today, we will take you to Juan Santamaria International Airport, where you will take your flight back home.
